A circular tray with engraved decoration. In the centre, there is a floral element contained within a space set off by a double circle, from which radiate stylised scrolls. This decorative grammar reveals the flavour of Flemish decorative engraving after the influx of Mannerism. The foot is smooth silver.
The distribution of this decoration reminds us of the radial forms of pieces found today in the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid, attributed to a goldsmith of Madrid in the late 16th century, as well as another one or two punched examples from Léon, 1573/1593.1
Exhibited at the Convent of Santa Clara in 1951.
